I'm reading A Christmas Carol to Billy at the moment for his bedtime book. I was a little bit worried that the ghosts might be a bit frightening for him, but so far so good.
Ashamed to say I've not read a great many novels by Charles Dickens, but I do love A Christmas Carol. I can see the appeal for children, too.

My daughters have vivid memories of my reading them "A Christmas Memory" by Truman Capote. Have a wonderful Christmas with your son!

Sunday - Billy really enjoyed the book, and didn't find it too scary. We then watched A Muppet's Christmas Carol - just to reinforce the story!
